Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, NIPER, SAS Nagar (Mohali)
DR. SANYOG JAIN is currently working as Professor and Head at Department of Pharmaceutics of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali (Punjab), India. Previously he worked as Scientist at Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. His key research interest includes exploring different types of nano drug delivery systems for various biomedical applications including targeted anticancer drug delivery, oral delivery of vaccines, peptides and other small molecules, co-delivery of anticancer drugs, topical and transdermal drug delivery and gene delivery. He has patented several nanotechnology based drug delivery platforms and licensed Tamoxifen-SEDDS Technology for improved breast cancer therapy to industry for commercialization. Dr. Jain is inventor of 14 granted patents. He has authored 2 books, 11 book chapters and published over 250 research papers in high impact international journals (h-index 67) with more than 14500 citations.
Dr. Jain has won several prestigious awards including AAPS Fellow- 2022, AAiPS Distinguished Young Educator and Research Scholarship Award, ABAP Gold medal for Advanced Research in Nano science and Technology, Shivnath Rai Kohli Memorial Mid Career Best Scientist Award, Pharm Innova Award for Best Research Guide (three times in 2014-15, 2016-17 and 2017-18), Bharat Jyoti (The Glory of India) Award, Rising Suns in Asia Award, Alkyl Amine Young Scientist Award, INSA Medal for young scientists, OPPI Young Scientist Award and Punjab State Young Scientist Award for his outstanding research in the field of nanomedicine and novel drug delivery systems. He also Secured rank in list of World’s top 2% Scientists (in the field of Pharmacy and Pharmacology) published by Stanford University, and Elsevier in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Most recently, he has been honored with APTI Research Excellence Award in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery. Dr. Jain is serving as expert committee member of Radiopharmaceutical Committee of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt of India. He is Editor of AAPS PharmSciTech since 2014 and also Editorial Advisory Board Member of Molecular Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery and Translational Research
