An Overview

Disso Symposiums are the premier international conferences of the Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science (SPDS), held annually at various locations across India, Rest of Asia, Americas and Europe

The event is dedicated to driving progress in dissolution science by showcasing cutting-edge technology, fostering innovation, and exploring diverse aspects of dissolution testing and its practical applications.

The program typically features 12 to 14 scientific sessions delivered by distinguished experts from across the globe, hailing from both the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Each year, the symposium curates a focused theme around which all dissolution-related topics are organized.

The symposium includes around 12 to 14 scientific talks from the eminent professionals globally working in the pharmaceutical industry as well as academia. The topics pertaining to dissolution are selected with a focused theme every year.

During the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions in 2020, 2021, and 2022, the international symposium transitioned to a fully virtual format using an online platform.

Since 2020, the poster session has been known as DRPI, which stands for Disso Research Presentations International.

Each year, the symposium features prominent regulatory authorities and experienced industry professionals.

The event is supported by a network of global partners, including manufacturers of dissolution instruments and providers of ancillary products and services.
