Dr. Sompol Prakongpan

Dr. Sompol B.Sc. in Pharmacy from University of Medical Sciences (now Mahidol University), Thailand in 1968 and got M.S. (Biochemistry) from Mahidol University in 1970, MSP and Ph.D. from The University of Michigan in the year 1973 and 1974.   He had been working at Mahidol University since graduation until retirement in 2011.In 1996 he became Professor in Pharmacy and later was appointed as Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy (2001-2004).  He served as executive committee members in many national and international organizations including president of the Pharmaceutical Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage (1994-1998), vice president of the Pharmacy Council (1997-2006), vice president of Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA), President Elect of Asian Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (AFPS).  He is a recipient of FAPA Award in Scientific Research (1994), Outstanding Pharmacist Award in Education and Research (2009), and Outstanding Alumni of Graduate School, Mahidol University (2006) and Associate Fellow of The Royal Institute of Thailand (2011).
